However, the international adoption procedure is regulated in five stages: Decree of parental suitability issued by the competent Juvenile Courts; training and aptitude support provided by authorized Bodies of the International Adoption Commission; meeting abroad between prospective parents and the child to be adopted; possible pre-adottive custody; transcription of the adoption in the civil status registers.
